Service Terms & Disclaimer
Joe’s Auto & Tire
Thank you for choosing Joe’s Auto & Tire. We’re committed to transparency, quality service, and setting clear expectations. The following terms apply to all repairs, quotes, work orders, and services we provide. By requesting, approving, or receiving service from Joe’s Auto & Tire, you agree to these terms.
Quote Terms & Pricing Estimates
All quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and, when applicable, the condition of your vehicle as inspected at the time of quoting. Quotes are not final invoices and do not authorize repairs until you approve the work. All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated, and may be updated based on additional inspection findings, unforeseen conditions, parts availability, or supplier pricing. Additional charges such as taxes, shop supplies, disposal, or environmental fees may apply.
If you request a written estimate for repairs over $100 and we perform the repairs, we will contact you for approval before any additional work is done, and will not exceed the original estimate by more than 10% without your authorization.
Any promotional benefits (such as tire packages or warranties) apply only to qualifying repairs or tires purchased directly from Joe’s Auto & Tire. Customer-supplied or third-party parts/tires are not eligible.
We’ll match a local competitor’s verified, written, advertised quote for the same tire and service package, based on identical manufacturer part numbers, tire model/size, and labor scope. Ask a team member for details.
Work Order Authorization
By signing or digitally approving a work order, you authorize Joe’s Auto & Tire to perform the listed services, including diagnosis, inspection, and road testing. You agree to pay for all approved parts, labor, and applicable fees. Payment is due at the time of service completion.
Personal property left in the vehicle is your responsibility. Joe’s Auto & Tire is not liable for any lost or damaged belongings left in the vehicle.
Warranty Coverage
Unless otherwise noted, all parts are new. Repairs using parts supplied by Joe’s Auto & Tire are covered by our 3-year / 36,000-mile nationwide warranty, including qualifying labor. Warranty coverage is subject to exclusions listed on your invoice or by manufacturer terms. Exclusions may include:
- Wear-and-tear items (e.g., spark plugs, filters, belts, brake pads)
- Routine maintenance
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to follow recommended service intervals
Customer-Supplied or Third-Party Parts
Parts or tires you provide, or those purchased elsewhere, are not covered by our warranty or any additional customer benefits. We are not liable for the performance, failure, or any related damage caused by customer-supplied or third-party parts, and labor associated with those parts is excluded from our guarantees.
Tire Purchases & the Joe’s Tire Bundle
The Joe’s Tire Bundle applies only to full tire sets purchased from Joe’s Auto & Tire (typically four or more tires). Tire warranties may also be subject to manufacturer terms. Ask a team member for full details at the time of purchase.
Safety Recommendation
For your safety, we recommend having wheel lug torque rechecked within 50–100 miles of any tire or wheel service.
Service Scope & Customer Expectations
Joe’s Auto & Tire performs services as described and approved. We are not responsible for dissatisfaction or expectations related to conditions outside the scope of work, including:
- Lingering odors (e.g., from past contamination, rodents, or water damage)
- Cosmetic or preexisting damage or conditions
- Outcomes that require unrelated services (e.g., interior detailing, bodywork, deep cleaning, or odor neutralization)
For example: If we are hired to remove a dead rodent from the vehicle, we cannot guarantee odor removal unless odor remediation is specifically requested as part of the job and clearly included in the scope of work. If it is not noted on your work order, invoice, or provided in writing, it is not considered part of the approved service.
Service completion is based on the work performed, not on outcomes that require additional or unrelated services.
Vehicle Retention & Storage Fees
Under Minnesota Statutes §§514.65–514.67, Joe’s Auto & Tire may retain possession of a vehicle until full payment is received. Vehicles left more than 5 business days after notification of completion may incur daily storage fees, which will be added to your invoice.
Limitation of Liability
Joe’s Auto & Tire is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of use
- Missed time, income, or business
- Transportation delays, towing, or rental car costs
Dispute Resolution
If you believe a repair was incomplete or unsatisfactory, please contact us to schedule a re-inspection within a reasonable time. We aim to resolve all concerns in a professional and timely manner. Please note that verbal conversations or staff comments do not override these written terms.
Agreement to Terms
By requesting service, signing a work order, approving an estimate, making payment, or taking possession of the vehicle, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. These service terms are publicly posted and apply to all transactions with Joe’s Auto & Tire.
We believe in fairness and doing right by our customers. If an issue comes up, we’ll always try to find a reasonable solution. Our disclaimer exists to protect both your interests and ours by setting clear, consistent expectations.
