We brought the car in to have a rear oxygen sensor replaced. They talked me into a full inspection (ok, makes sense), and said that the rear calipers were stuck and the car needed $1400 worth of work. Nothing about the oxygen sensor. I declined the work—paid $200 for the inspection—and took it to another garage for a second opinion because we didn’t have ANY issues with the brakes. The second garage said the brakes are fine and recommended changing the rear oxygen sensor. They were shocked when I told them the repairs Joe’s Auto recommended. Really disappointing experience, and I feel like they were trying to scam me.
